I finally finished Gone Girl last night. Have you read it?

I usually read a little every day, but I get to a point in a book where I just want to know how it is gonna end, so I binge read the rest. That was my last night. I know how to have a crazy Wednesday evening.

I thought Gone Girl would have a little different ending than it actually did. But I can say that I did get hooked on it, and it reeled me in pretty good. It would be a good airplane book, except that it gets a little creepy/scary, and I am a wee bit paranoid.

Now what should I read?

My flame I am drawn to right now is a sewing project. Hand sewing. Its actually kinda obsessive and silly and no one will probably care, but it makes me happy and that’s all that matters, right? I’m just like one of these happy moths, I just can’t resist.

embroidered invitations

I am having a hard time finding invitations that I truly love. Maybe I am being picky. I think I have a general idea that is in my mind somewhere, and I can’t seem to find something that fits that idea.

I found these AMAZING invites from Rifle Paper Co the other day. They are custom, so you can’t buy them, but I really love the idea of them. Is hand embroidering 51 paper invitations crazy? Yes, it is. But it would be crazy awesome….

Stamps are one of the things that you never really think about. I am also constantly misplacing the stamps all over the house.

I like the look of the stamp groupings for wedding invitations. I like the color variations, and the eclectic stamps you can find. It just looks more fancy, like your envelopes has moved across space and time to announce your love.

its only 3pm

The guy and I have been so productive today, and its only the afternoon. We went to the gym, made a nice breakfast, and have done so much wedding organizing! I just ordered a dress to try (ahhhh!), and ordered a bunch of paper for our save the dates.

Temporary tattoos for weddings? Awesome? I am going with yes. (this one found here)

I saw this on Fab today, and it just made me giggle for some reason. A cat reading a book. And then they said in the description that it was reading a tale of two kitties…hehehe.

letterpress cookie cutters

I am a big dessert/baked treat fan (obvi). So I am looking forward to making a lot of treats for our wedding dessert table. My beautiful sister got me these amazing letterpress cookie cutters, and I tested them out the other day.

I was a little sad when I realized that I only have green and yellow food coloring. My wedding will not be Packers themed.

I think they turned out really fun! I love that each of the letters are different, so they look crazy cool when you group them together. Next time, I am going to try making them a bit thinner (even though I like a fat sugar cookie), and flood them with bright colored icing. A couple more tries, and I think these cookies have some definite potential.

Ta da! My first wedding book (but not my last…). The New-Fashioned Wedding. And for reals, the book is amazing. So beautiful.

I definitely can’t afford to pull off the weddings actually shown in the book, but it goes through the inspiration and ideas behind the details that make up the wedding. Their style of fun, crafty, and thoughtful weddings gets my creative juices flowing.

I have been a little stressed out about the wedding lately. This book reminded me of the art, beauty, and originality that go into a wedding. Each one is special and perfect because two people are in love.
