No better way to say bee mine than with stinging insects. These cards focus more on the sweet honey, and are available for stitching up now!

freezer burritos
I made some burritos for our freezer, and now I feel like the most prepared person in the world. All ready for lunches. Just add some avocado.
Underneath that foil (or in that plastic bag after I ran out of foil), is:
- A burrito sized tortilla
- Refried beans
- Some cheese
- Some of that frozen southwestern corn with the pepper and onion bits in it
- And some salsa mixed with plain greek yogurt
So now you can feel like the most lunch-ready person in the world too! Does anyone know if lettuce freezes well?
mario blanket
I made this Mario blanket for my brother for Christmas. Since Mario is already made out of pixels, it is made out of tiny granny squares sewn together. It took some time and lots of counting, but I think everyone was impressed with the final result.
(Also, its pretty big and this isn’t my best photography work.)
new in the shop: card and tag kits
I grouped together a couple of my cards and gift tags to make combo kits! The most popular one so far is the snow day edition, because that rocking horse rocks.
This is what part of my shipping station looked like a couple days ago. A super eclectic bunch.
new hats
I like to have multiple projects going on. If I’m making card kits all day, I need to take a sewing break. If I’m making a quilt, I need to take some drawing breaks. This also usually results in separate messes all over the room, but you can’t win em all.
My newest obsession is hat making. I made a hat, took it apart, and repeated that 4 times before I found a pattern I actually liked. I made a big pom pom for my hat, and Jon gets the green one, which I will gladly pom pom with his approval.
Hopefully it will stay cooler a little bit longer so we can take a cute picture together in our matching hats!
i’m so famous
So yesterday was my birthday, and we took a field trip to get some yarn. While we were in the store, we browsed some magazines, and look what we found.
Something I made is in a real life magazine! It is the winter Do It Yourself magazine from Better Homes and Gardens. We only bought 2, so there should be plenty left for you. And you can find my claim to fame here!
new in the shop: redwork holiday cards
I am generally a firm believer that each holiday has its time. This is probably because I have a November birthday. I like to celebrate my birthday, then Thanksgiving, and then it can be Christmas music time. BUT it is time to start thinking about any gifts you need to make. If you start those after Thanksgiving, you may not finish in time. Plus, working on gifts and crafts in these early evenings is sort of what fall is all about, right?
So by that logic, now is the time to begin working on these cards! I am really happy with these classic redwork designs. Those deer cards are selling like gingerbread cookies at Christmas, or hotcakes, whichever you prefer. Find them in the shop now.
halloweavings
I almost bought some candy corn at the store today. I like about 3 candy corns, and then my teeth start to cry. But they remind me of Halloween, so I still want them for decoration. We still need to get some pumpkins, and then we can get out the rest of the decorations! This year, I added some silly weavings to our Halloween collection. A black cat and a bright moon to hang on the wall.
blue fuzzy spider
Most likely not poisonous. He is a special birthday gift, to go along with the 8-leg theme. Hopefully they are friends! It was fun to sew up something that was a little different than my usual style. Although after around 5 legs I was like, enough already!
