its nice to be appreciated

Whenever I get an order for some save the dates, I always get little butterflies because: 1. It means I have to do my best work 50+ times in a row, and 2. It means I get to be a little part in someone’s wedding. Always with great privilege, comes great responsibility.

But when I get little notes from happy customers, it makes all my hard work feel so appreciated. Here are a couple sweet notes I have received in the past couple months:

  • Oh my goodness they arrived today and they are absolutely to die for!! I know we are going to get a ton of compliments on these babies!! Thank you so much for all your hard work, I will be recommending you to all my friends in the future.
  • We have gotten a TON of compliments and we can´t thank you enough for the wonderful work you did! We kept one for ourselves to frame and keep forever!
  • I just got home from work and was so excited to see that my order arrived! I opened the box it to discover the most beautiful save-the date cards I have even seen in my life!!! Each one is a precious work of art. I can’t stop staring at them and am so excited to get them out to our guests.

Hope that makes you remember there are people in the world who appreciate your hard work, and your time means something more to them!

Hope you have a nice weekend! The sun came out here!

new in the shop: redwork holiday cards

I am generally a firm believer that each holiday has its time. This is probably because I have a November birthday. I like to celebrate my birthday, then Thanksgiving, and then it can be Christmas music time. BUT it is time to start thinking about any gifts you need to make. If you start those after Thanksgiving, you may not finish in time. Plus, working on gifts and crafts in these early evenings is sort of what fall is all about, right?

So by that logic, now is the time to begin working on these cards! I am really happy with these classic redwork designs. Those deer cards are selling like gingerbread cookies at Christmas, or hotcakes, whichever you prefer. Find them in the shop now.

new in the shop: pumpkin cards

I could have imagined it, but I felt like there was almost a chill in the air this morning. Like I could almost wear a light jacket for 10 minutes over my tshirt and shorts. But the calendar says fall is coming whether or not the weather here agrees. There are some new autumn card designs in the shop to get you in the crispy leaves and hot tea mood.

Cards against humanity

A couple of weeks ago, a colleague at work sent around an agency announcement that he had a game that he would be giving away to whoever could submit the best one-liner that was for “the most horrible thing you could say to new mom Snooki.” That game that he was giving away was Cards Against Humanity. I had heard of this game before from The Girl but this was the second time that I had heard about it so I had to look it up and it is pretty hilarious, completely inappropriate, but definitely hilarious.  Even the combination that showed up on their website for me when I went to check it out was pretty bad and funny all at the same time.

For those of you that were curious, the winning one-liner came from one of my own team members – “Congratulations on having the first baby ever to be born with multiple STDs.”
