It all started when we wanted to see a movie at Alamo. And then we looked up their new menu, which had a peanut butter banana cookie. And we thought: huh, how bout that? So I looked to see if I could find a recipe for peanut butter banana cookies. And now here we are.
These cookies are definitely chewy and soft. They have a little different taste to them (and we ran out of chocolate chips!), but if you are looking for something new and different, try them out!
You know how you have to have something just because your mom has it? I can’t possible make any more pies unless I have this pie plate.
I got this idea in my head that I needed to make croissants this weekend. I started the process on Friday evening. By Sunday morning, my shoulders were sore from all the rolling, but I didn’t care because it was time to put the croissants in the oven. I had a little brunch party with some of my favorite people, and we ate fresh from the oven, flaky croissants with whipped butter and jam.
(I used a combo of these two recipes here and here. I used the dough from the first recipe, but next time, I might try the other one. I mixed it for all the time it said, and I thought the dough was a little tough. But it turned out fine in the end!)
I am so happy it is the weekend. Some weeks just suck all the life out of you. I am glad to have a few days of calm to recharge my heart again.

When I get home from work, the first thing I do is usually the dishes. After a day of sitting in front of a computer, it is nice to actually do a task, and have an end result. Doing the dishes is my little way of being able to feel like my hands have accomplished something that day. And has the added bonus of making sure all the dishes are ready for dinner making!
And wouldn’t the task of washing dishes be so much prettier with these plates?! I mean, I would feel like I was doing dishes for the queen. I want to register for them all.
This is how we both feel when the guy goes on business trips, but she is slightly more dramatic about it.
That’s right. Its like I don’t even know myself anymore.
I think I am almost finally done with our invitations. It will actually be kinda weird when they are done, because I will have to find something else to occupy all my time.
But anyway, I really wanted neat stamps for the envelopes. Like these cool groupings. But do you know how much old stamps cost? A lot more than new stamps. Thankfully, the post office actually has some pretty stamps! I pre-ordered these vintage seed packet stamps a while back, and they are gorgeous! I also like these and these. Who knew I would obsess over stamps someday?
Sometimes, I want just like one bite of something. Like I want one bite of banana pudding (mmmm….banana pudding).
So when you want one bite of cake, you make mini cupcakes! These are so tiny! I made some butter pecan cake, topped with a bit of frosting, and a couple chopped pecans. Everyone at work said they tasted kinda like buttery waffles.
I was really nervous about the baking time for these little guys. I couldn’t find something that committed to a general time that mini cupcakes might bake. I ended up letting these guys be in the oven for 9 minutes, and they came out nice and moist.
We equated one cupcake to one bite of normal cake. So if you want three bites, then enjoy 3 mini cupcakes! Yummy math.
I took a pretend Spring Break to go home and do wedding crafts with my ma. It was the best thing ever. We did some painting, a little printing and coloring, some fabric finding, and lots of spray gluing. Getting really pumped about all the new crafts and experiments we have planned!
