Some things I found this week:
We got A LOT of rocks delivered this week, so our weekend will involve carrying and artfully laying those rocks in the yard. And after a day of that, it will probably also involve frozen yogurt.
Some recently made things around here: old-fashioned oatmeal cookies, a clock that will always tell the guy that its time to come home, m&m bars ready to be eaten, and a funny new animal.
I am really pleased with how this new idea turned out. The stars hanging down kill me. Find it here in the shop!
Well looky here. Just last week, this was a pile of fabric. Now it is a dress. I am sure it is very pleased with its transformation. I haven’t tried it on yet, but it looks pretty good on the hanger. 
It has some elastic on the sleeves and on the back at the waist to add some shape.
I had this cool gold button picked out, but I accidentally made the button loop too small. Good thing I had a back-up button ready.
I hand stitched the hem up. It actually didn’t take as long as I thought it would, and made me feel like I was living in a little house on a prairie.

The next recipe in our sourdough cookbook was a peasant black bread, which it says is based on a Russian staple. The recipe said specifically not to leave out the coriander, but I am a rebel, and I did. Because I didn’t have any, and also because cilantro is yucky.
I decided to make two smaller loaves this time, instead of one large loaf. So I basically worried the entire time it was in the oven, since I wasn’t quite sure of the cooking time. But it sounded good and hollow around 40 minutes, and it turned out nice and crumby inside, so we will put this one in the success column. 
Oh, the bread is not black you say? I am told by the internet that it may darken over time, so every morning’s toast will be a surprise!
My valentine roses were glorious, and only now starting to wilt a bit. I kinda like when the roses droop their heads and form perfect little ruffles.
Some things I found this week:
I caught some sort of weird stomach bug yesterday, so I spent the day sipping water and watching Gossip Girl. And then I had to stop watching after a while, because I start to feel so anxious for the characters. But I’m feeling much better today, so I have a lot of work to catch up on!
These cards blend my love of drawing with my inner hair stylist. I really enjoyed using the different stitches to make the hair textures. Find them now in the shop!
Now I just need to find a flower crown that I can wear around all day.
I planted some wildflower seeds last fall, and look who is popping up all over the place. Some baby bluebonnets, getting a jump start on spring. Its been so cold and I was a little nervous they weren’t going to make it, but I’m so happy to see their little faces ready for some sunshine.
Last week, we made a no knead sourdough bread, since it was late and I didn’t want to clean the counters again. We ate it right up with a boatload of lasagna. No knead bread is no joke.
Here are some good looking breads to consider baking soon. We got: apple sourdough bread, brioche donuts with honey glaze, challah pretzel bread, and cinnamon raisin soda bread.

Some things I found this week:
We are going on a date to the Lego movie today, and we’ll probably share some popcorn. Maybe his hand will brush up against mine. Our knees will touch in the dark. He’ll do that coughing, stretching, arm over my shoulder move. Then we’ll laugh at funny talking Legos. I can’t wait.
