Despite my best efforts, I don’t have a lot of luck keeping succulents alive inside. But this little guy was lovingly placed out on the back porch, and given almost no special treatment, and seems to be growing just fine! He’s even growing a couple little babies!
Most of our plants and flowers made it through all the rain like little troopers. I was worried since most of them are drought tolerant, but they just went with the flow and soaked it all in. (Get it? Rain jokes.) I added this fairy door and walkway to the rock garden a while back, and I think a resident fairy must have been maintaining it during all the flooding. Its held together by magic.
I have a working theory that everything I plant half dies, then, in its own sweet time, comes back to life and decides to grow. I am sure the crazy weather doesn’t help. If you left me outside in this, I would have to carefully consider coming back to life too. But I am happy to see our rock garden is finally starting to fill in a little bit. I also added that cactus in the pot for another layer, and he is just as happy as a clam there.
In the midst of the cold winter, let the cute cactus cards remind you that the sun is coming! A set of 3 cactus cards is new in the shop this week. A quick, fun craft for chilly evenings.
