Finished up this rowdy crew yesterday. You can find them in the shop now!

my first scarf
Ta-da! My first crocheted scarf. It turned out pretty stellar, if I may compliment myself. I would totally be wearing it right now if it wasn’t reminiscent of a warm spring day outside.
I am not, by any definition of the word expert, an expert crocheter. But my ma helped me out semi-following these directions, and I got some help from this youtube lady here. After just a couple minutes of watching, I was crocheting so much faster than her (if you watch the video, this would be a joke).
It only took about an evening to make, so scarves for everyone!
double the turkey, double the pie
I got lucky and celebrated two Thanksgivings. I was extra thankful this year.
First came Thanksgiving in the Northwest. No snow, but plenty of cold, snuggly evenings crocheting and eating pie. And I never get sick of those mountains.

Next came turkey day in Texas with my one, true love. I love Thanksgiving because I can wish all the people Happy Thanksgiving in America. Giving thanks is for everyone.
a time for giving
Tis the season for giving! Through Monday Dec 1 at midnight Central, you can order a set of 10 holiday cards or gift tags in the shop, and I’ll send a dozen instead! Simply order a holiday item, and get a couple extra cards included for free!
an owl wearing a scarf
I added a couple more holiday card designs to the shop, including this little owl. A great little Thanksgiving craft to work on between turkey and pie!

baked brown butter donuts
Donuts are really an instant crowd pleaser. They look super impressive.
These are brown butter baked donuts using this recipe. Instead of sprinkles, these guys enjoyed a sprinkling of mini chocolate chips atop their chocolate glaze. Show stoppers.

PS- I tried to save one of them in a plastic baggy, but it like absorbed the glaze and got all drippy looking. So don’t do that.
cookie bars
Holiday baking season is growing near, so its time to narrow down my cookie selections for gifts. I like to give a nice variety, even though I would personally die happy with a huge tray of just my ma’s gingerbread cookies.
I tried out a new bar cookie recipe over the weekend. Bar cookies are sometimes tricky for me, since I always worry they aren’t baked enough in the middle. I tried a basic blondie recipe, with some big dark chocolate chips, some mini regular chocolate chips, pecans, and coconut. I was too lazy to toast the pecans or coconut, but they were definitely a huge hit with my guinea pigs.
