…I wouldn’t mind running until I was bent over with sweat running into my eyes, because then I could stare at my shoes. (photo from here, shoes are somewhere yet to be found)

coloring books
I am real big on coloring. I entered all the grocery store coloring contests when I was little. I meticulously colored maps and reports all through school. My ma still prints out coloring sheets for me when I go home. Its nice to just sit still and worry about nothing but coloring sometimes.
It can be kinda difficult to find coloring sheets online, so I’m thinking about investing in some real coloring books. Here are some cool ones I found- bonus points to the ones where you actually learn a little bit too. Its always good to have random facts tucked away about quilt patterns, animals, the Book of Kells, and dresses made of flowers.
things that caught my eye/ fifteen
Some things I found this week:
- Colorful woven purses and tapestries
- Could work all day in this lovely little shed studio
- How hard could it be to make your own pasta
- We have been planning our anniversary escape, and my request is to go somewhere where we can eat lots of ice cream.
- Personalized map quilts, plus they have Austin!
If it doesn’t rain again, we are going to try to go kayaking, and do a little sunbathing to get rid of these obvious farmer tans we are rocking. Then our weekend will be filled with the normal things like mowing the lawn, grocery shopping, watching all the xmen movies in chronological order, and taking pictures of our plants.

Some things I found this week:
- A pretty reminder for watering houseplants.
- Fun baking contest! The video makes it look so easy.
- Speaking of baking videos, I have watched this video of a bakery in action many times.
- I always say I want our yard to look garden party ready, and this dress would be cute for all these hypothetical outdoor gatherings.
- Candles for book lovers.
We finally made and ordered a photo book with our wedding photos. I added in a bunch of craft project, making-of photos too, so it will be more the size of a short novel. Its been on my to-do list for almost a whole year now, and we can’t wait until it arrives!

Some things I found this week:
- If you are a Harry Potter person, finally you can learn what this is.
- I want to make these fruit filled muffins.
- Pretty sure 50% of my bathing suits have polka dots. Why not one more?
- We have a bunch of these living in a tree in the backyard, and I want to bring some inside, and hang them from these triangle looking hanging planters.
- We have SO much basil right now. Finding lots of things to make with it.
We are going on a pie date this evening (in one of my new shirts!), we have a 4-year-old’s batman pool party on Saturday, and we need to fertilize our garden after all the thunderstorms. Have a good one!

Some things I found this week:
- Speaking of molasses and pecans.
- I want to sew a simple tshirt, and add these tulip sleeves.
- Yum looking granola recipe.
- I loved overalls when I was younger. They are my garden clothes in my dreams.
- One of my fave instagram accounts.
I think it will be a pretty stressful weekend over here. We have to watch our grass seeds grow, look out for thunderstorms, and drink iced tea. Maybe go wander around the botanical garden if its not too humid out. So if you need us, we’ll be very, very busy.
How pretty is this little grower here. I enjoy the tiny hint of hot pink leaves.
things that caught my eye/ eleven
Some things I found this week:
- What to do with all those long fabric scraps
- Would be an adorable wedding gift
- Going to need this for all the herbs we’re growing
- I wish this was still available. Pickles are my favorite.
- I’m having trouble deciding between this cookie and this one.
We are getting quite the recognition from the neighbors for our front yard makeover. We have been basking in the glow all week, but its time to start the backyard this weekend. We’ll probably need more rice krispie treat fuel. And if you are looking for a gift for garden lovers, I have some new notebooks in the shop!
Here is a picture of our growing little snap peas, and we all hope you have a nice weekend!
floral finds
Flowers are usually my first choice of doodle when given a blank piece of paper. Here are some fun floral finds to get in the spring mood: fancy flower and fruit ball cap, beautiful floral print hot pads for the table, a blooming scarf, and pretty lotion to add some flowers to your nightstand (after playing in the dirt and sun all day, gotta get some lotion on those hands!)
I also have some flower gift tags and cactus cards available in the shop, if you need to send some floral thoughts to someone!

- Hope we have enough flowers growing around the yard this summer so I can make one of these.
- Love this homemade hat.
- Already bought the ingredients to try to make corn tortillas.
- Dinner ideas- 50 vegetarian pizzas.
- Because sometimes, it is just one of those days.
I spent most of the week being sick/recovering, so I learned a new crochet pattern while laying on the couch. I am looking forward to being back to fighting shape, and enjoying Easter weekend! I have some fun Easter cookies to post tomorrow!
