We have a crape myrtle tree in our backyard. It fills the sky and the ground with little pink flowers. Even though it is blazing hot out, I still like to be showered with the little petals falling from above.

I am lucky that I babysit two of the cutest kids in the world. I have known them since they were born, so it has been a treat to watch them grow into tiny 4-year-old and 2-year-old people.
Little Miss Zoe was a no-brainer here, since she loves pink and girly things, which is perfect for a flower girl. She already thinks she gets to be a princess in the wedding.
But Noah was a bit of a thinker. There are no good ring-bearer things, since weddings are a little girly anyway, and two-year-old boys like cars and throwing things. So I came up with a little dump truck, and went with the “carry” theme. Get it???
I have been growing an amaryllis plant for two years now. A dear friend gave it to me because of my little shop’s name. And it is still alive and has long leaves, and I think it is happy, but it has not once even thought about making a flower.
But the guy’s mom gave us this amaryllis plant for Christmas, and look at it. Beautiful show-off.
