new in the shop: bits of fall
The weatherman said we have a “cold” front coming in this weekend. Down to highs in the 80s! Its practically winter! Celebrate the cool temps and falling leaves with some cute fall gift tags for presents and treat baskets.
new in the shop: moose
This guy looks like he belongs in the desert, watching the sunset with a friendly cactus. Find him in the shop today.
sleeping bag dolls
I have a little niece who is turning two, which gives me a perfect excuse to make a doll. My first choice would have required me to go to the store (boo), but good thing I had an equally good plan b picked out! We had a little animal version of these dolls when I was little. Did you ever have something like this? I think the little one will like putting them to bed, and then waking them up again, on repeat.
The original pattern wanted the dolls to be 8″ big. I shrunk them down by half, so they were twice as hard to make with all the little pieces, but will be twice as portable for little purses.
Now that the hairstyles are all sorted, time for bed!
new in the shop: teal rhino
This happy little rhino is available in the shop (after the holiday weekend!). Looks like he polished his horn up, and did his hair to the side. Awfully handsome.

This unicorn isn’t too fluffy, so I hope no one dies. Find this magical horse in the shop now!
new in the shop: pink flamingo
This funny little flamingo is new in the shop today. Taking a well deserved break from standing on one leg all day. Treat yourself to some shrimp tacos, flamingo.
making it work
I managed to finish three new garments last week. (I watch Project Runway while I’m sewing. Makes me feel more legit.) I only planned on two, but I ended up having a little extra fabric, so I was able to squeeze out one more.
First up is this fancy little shirt with a peter pan collar. The fabric is super light and perfect for hot summers. I already want to wear it everywhere.
Next we have a striped tank dress. I have made this pattern before, but with sleeves. I was really nervous to work with a stripe, since its pretty obvious if it turns out crooked then, but I have to start somewhere!
I had a little extra of the stripe material, since I didn’t make any sleeves, so I made it work with another tank top pattern! I like all the different stripe angles. I think this design would lay a little better with a more flowy fabric, but it was nice to get used to the pattern, and its definitely still wearable!
cow tote bag
These cows look so pleased with themselves. I guess they should be, since they turned out all cute and stuff. For mother’s day, I made my ma this fancy tote bag, with a little parade of cows embroidered on the front.
how does your garden grow
It is like magic watching a garden grow. One day, its a tiny little plant. And then you look again, its two feet taller or growing food. Ah-mazing.
I’ve been fondly scrolling through garden photos from 2 weeks ago, and seeing how much they have grown. I can only imagine what I will be like when I have a real baby.
There are a couple new notebooks in the shop to keep track of garden progress, planting plans, or grocery lists!
