My ma got me this little pumpkin pattern. I haven’t followed an actual pattern in a while. Patterns are such a science and art. I think the little pumpkin turned out really cute, and fits right in with the little gourd and candy arrangements. It is nice to come home to his smiling face.

pecan pie in cookie form
Growing up, I never had pecan pie. When I moved down here, pecan pie was this big deal. I am still learning to fully appreciate the pie, but I can definitely get behind this cookie version. (recipe here)
the pumpkin king
We love the pumpkin garden outside of Whole Foods. So many different kinds of pumpkins to conquer. (Real pumpkin king here.)
autumn night
The early nightfall brings back so many memories. Raking leaves. Crisp football game nights. Warm home-ma-made dinners. How cold the inside of a pumpkin is when you are taking out its guts. The delicious smell of the halloween candy bucket, even when there is no candy inside it. My favorite Halloween show. Oh, fall. You are the best.
a little sale
Couple things on sale in my shop to make more room on my shelves. All under $10!
pumpkin patch
This is the best pumpkin patch in the world. Rasmussen Farms in Hood River, Oregon. It’s a real pumpkin patch. Where you have to walk yourself out into the field of pumpkins and pick one for yourself. When you find the perfect one, you check it over, clean the dirt off with spit, and then rip it off the vine. Its pure fall and happiness.
If I had my way, I would get married in the middle of the pumpkin patch. It has breathtaking scenery, and smells like fresh apples. Everyone would wear boots, and the bridesmaids would wear braids in their hair.
pie time?
I have been craving pie lately. Good homemade pie. But I have decided to not eat much sugar this week, so maybe pie time will come next week. (photo from hello giggles)
