I am admiring wood floors lately. Look at this one. I think it has a beautiful rug painted on the floor. Makes the room even more bright, and airy, and happy.

I think it is the colors that make me think these are happy places. There is a sort of mix-matchy color and pattern feel about them that reminds me of a warm, homemade quilt. (from here and here)

We finally got a doormat. Which means we can finally let people who just walked through mud into our home. Thank goodness.
