We have a few flowers blooming in the yard, but I don’t feel right picking them when they are still working hard to grow. At the store this morning, I saw they had wildflower bouquets with rosemary in them, and I thought to myself- I definitely can do that.
In this edition of my-summer-veggies-mostly-all-died-despite-my-efforts, I made some hummus with our lemon balm, as suggested on the back of the tahini jar. I’ve never grown lemon balm before, but it literally has come back from the dead twice now. Tomatoes and cucumbers acquired elsewhere.
I always tell Jon that the simple things I do during the day give me the most meaning. Makes me the most happy. So I thought I might chronicle them here. Today, I played in the dirt and transplanted some sad looking basil to what I hope will be a more pleasing home for them.
