Lately, our weekend tradition includes going to the gym for a little bit, and then having breakfast together- in our workout clothes like typical Austin people, except we actually just came from the gym. This weekend, there weren’t any parking spots near the bagel place, so we decided to make some breakfast at home instead. We went with our specialty- biscuits. I got a super cool hexagon shaped cutter for Christmas that I was excited to try, and I love the cute little biscuits it made!
I like to show my love with baked goods. For our first birthday weekend of the season, we started with some fluffy biscuits for breakfast.
Next, we had some chocolate chip cookies for snacking.
And then we had our showstopper, a yellow cake with chocolate frosting.
And now we need to stock up on Halloween candy.
We got the genius idea to make chicken and biscuits for breakfast last weekend. I made the biscuits and honey butter, and the guy took care of the chicken. Do you see the flaky layers of those biscuits? Its like they are welcoming the chicken home. We used this recipe here.
