how to iron fleece

Fleece is a pretty cool fabric. You can leave the edges raw, and it still looks nice. Its forgiving if you mess up a bit. Its fluffy. But, it is awful when it gets wrinkled. And what a bummer when you order some fleece online, and it arrives as a wrinkly mess. After melting my share of fleece, I’ve finally figured out a way to iron it that doesn’t ruin it!

First, here is a wrinkled piece of a future yellow chick.ironfleece2

Next, get a spare washcloth, and make it damp. You can also spray it with a water bottle. Bonus points if its Spiderman themed. Cover the fleece with the damp washcloth.

With an iron on medium heat, gently iron over the top. Check the fleece frequently to see how the progress is going. When all the wrinkles are gone, be sure to lay the fleece flat somewhere to cool down.

And now you don’t have to pull your hair out that your fleece is all wrinkled!
